Creating dance routines and playing friendly basketball...just some of the fun things happening on the playground.
Over the past few weeks, we have made some changes to lunchtimes at school. On the playground, there are different zones for football, basketball, dancing, skipping, small world play, running, chasing games and indoor board games. The children really seem to be enjoying the opportunities. Lunchtimes have become more active and creative as a result. For example, I enjoyed a cup of 'gemstone tea' lovingly made in the small world area, I watched a dance routine designed, perfected and performed by some enthusiastic Year 2 girls, watched as a group of children double/treble skipped in the big ropes and had an in depth conversation all about dinosaurs with a member of Year R!
