St Mary Magdalen's Catholic Primary School

Nurturing hearts and minds

St Mary Magdalen’s PTFA are a thriving, friendly bunch of parents whose primary aim is to raise extra funds for school to enhance the learning environment and provide extras that make children’s school days memorable .

We hold informal meetings 2-3 times a term to plan fund raising events. Throughout the year our main events are discos, a Magical Christmas Evening, a Summer Fair and a sponsored Rise and Shine Jog. We do many other things too to raise much needed funds.

We help with refreshments at school events like school productions and coffee mornings.

We have raised thousands of pounds for school over the years. In the last couple of years this money has been used to buy 8 new computers for computer suite, 2 interactive TV screens, hundreds of library books, and sports kit.  The money has been used to subsidise trips for all children and to pay for music lessons for each child when they get to Year 4.

There is no obligation to attend every meeting or to help out at any event. You can go on the PTFA emailing list so that you are kept abreast of what is going on and you can offer to help when you can. However we would love you to join us and hear your fresh ideas.

If you are interested in joining us or would just like to go on the PTFA mailing list please fill in the slip below. I will contact you personally and let you know when the first meeting is.
