St Mary Magdalen's Catholic Primary School

The football team, who currently sit top of the Penwortham Central Venue Football League, were invited to last week’s Borough Finals. They played some wonderful football on the day and enjoyed wins against both Lostock Hall and Leyland Methodist Junior School. Unfortunately, they were narrowly beaten in the semi-finals and went on to finish fourth. This was an amazing achievement as there are over forty primary schools in South Ribble, many of which are two-form entry. Their achievements have been rewarded with a place at the PNE Kids Cup where they will compete against the best teams from South Ribble, Preston and Chorley. Well done and good luck to Megan Fleming, Reagan Mitchell, Max Meredith, Noah Chappell, Ryan O’Doherty, Lewis Sampson, Isaac Delaney, Shaquille Costello and Dominic Flanagan.
