Looking at our local area
We have been looking at road maps in our Geography lesson. The children were tasked with finding what city / town they could find 10 miles, 20 miles, 30 miles and 40 miles north, south, east and west from Preston. They had to work out the scale of the map and then measure correctly - lots of mathematical skills being used within their geography lessons.
