This week, Year 5 have been looking deeper at the location of the ancient Maya civilisation.
The children used maps and atlases to find Central America and looked at the different countries in that region. They then used a map of the Yucatán peninsula to help them locate the sites of old temples and cities.
This followed on from last week, when they were able to get up close and personal, with some replica models of ancient Mayan gods. They were able to use the artefacts to help them practice their sketching skills.
