All the children participated in an assembly this morning to learn about Cafod’s Lenten campaign ‘Walk for Hunger.’ This was followed by workshops for Key Stage 2 children about Catholic Social Teaching.
Catholic Social Teaching helps to raise an awareness in our children of how to live out our faith in the world. It is our moral compass and guides us and inspires us to be peacemakers, to care for the common good, to care for creation and support the poorest members of our world to have choices, dignity and engage with a full life.
Thank you to Christine and her colleagues for facilitating this. The team from CAFOD were so very impressed by the understanding and awareness that our children have.
As a school we strive to live out our mission. Thank you for all that you do to support us.
