Investigating square numbers
This week, we have been carrying out problems which involve factors, multiples, prime numbers and cube numbers. Today, year 6 have been investigating square numbers, recognising that when they draw an array to show the calculation visually, all square numbers are represented as squares!
Next week, we will be moving onto fractions so a big encouragement to all children to be practising their times tables as these are necessary in understanding fractions and being able to carry out calculations which involve fractions.
