Year 6 have been exploring the term unconditional love. Today, we listened to the parable of the Prodigal Son and recognised that this story teaches us a great deal about forgiveness and that forgiveness takes place when we love unconditionally. We made links to our own lives and identified times when we have forgiven others or been forgiven ourselves. It was a great follow on from Mrs Gallagher’s assembly and a great opportunity to reflect upon our poems from last week.
Here is a poem from Jenson. He has combined concrete and abstract nouns to communicate what he perceives unconditional love to be. We think it’s beautiful Jenson.
Year 6 children are invited to bring in photographs of people who they love unconditionally as we will use these in a worship, at the end of the unit.
