St Mary Magdalen's Catholic Primary School

The Girls Cricket Team competed in the South Ribble competition at Penwortham Cricket Club today and were a real credit. Despite not progressing from the group stage, the team played some excellent cricket and gave the two eventual finalists (Whitefield and Leyland St James’) a real run for their money. They also enjoyed wins against local rivals St Teresa’s and Broad Oak. They displayed fantastic team spirit, excellent behaviour and a real desire to improve. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who came along to support the team and also to Mr Collins and Mr Cobb for sharing your passion and expertise - it was very much appreciated.
