Safer Internet Day

23 February 2024 (by Daniel Campbell (Daniel Campbell))

This week the whole school have been recognising Safer Internet Day.

Across the school, the children have been learning about how to stay safe online and not fall for some of the traps that can easily fool us.

Safer Internet Day is celebrated all over the world in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people.

From Reception to Year 6, all of the children have been involved and the teachers have all been VERY impressed with how they have engaged with the material. There have been some incredibly mature and thoughtful responses when discussing this year's theme - change online. They have talked about things that can influence and change the way young people think, feel and act both online and offline. Topics included AI, influencers and gaming.

Be sure to talk to your child(ren) about what they have discussed and learned this week.

Also, don't forget to check out our online safety hub on the school website for more links and resources.
