We looked at the history of technology and how it has progressed over time. We had some great discussions about blackboards, telephones and music.
Whilst lots of the technological advances are brilliant….and have lots of positive effects on our daily lives, we did discuss some disadvantages of such technologies. The children then fast-tracked into the future by 20 years and designed some great devices that would be beneficial to education and the wider world.
Year 3 have a good understanding of how the internet allows us to have such amazing opportunities, but they have also grown in awareness of how we need to use it wisely so that it doesn’t have a negative effect on our lives. Well done children!
