Books make us happy, calm, intelligent. They transport us to different places and times. Books help us to be creative. Today we made beautiful bookmarks that show how we feel about books.
We have made reading dens using beanbags, cushions and blankets… and we used torches to shine a spotlight on reading. We grouped, sorted and ordered books in different ways, we listened to the descriptive opening paragraph to Mega Monster by David Walliams and then created roles on the wall using noun phrases. We also started a book scavenger hunt. More photos on our class page.
