This morning we all enjoyed trying out three new sports that are played in The Paralympics.
The games involved tactics, skill and good use of the senses. This can be tricky if you can’t see. We used eye masks to cover our eyes and had to listen for the bell in the ball to see if we could work out how to stop a goal from being scored.
Curling and Boccia were also great team sports that we tried. Some of our team members were excellent at winning the game on their last throw/curl. Exciting stuff!
Playing these games really helped us to fully appreciate the challenges faced by Paralympians.
