We have enjoyed a lovely Collective Worship in the garden to celebrate the end of our topic in RE.
During our RE topic we have learned that Lent is the season when Christians practise both giving and giving-up. Lent is part of the Liturgical Year when people unite themselves with Christ in order to grow in self-discipline through the practices of prayer, fasting and almsgiving. We celebrated the end of our topic with a special collective worship in the garden. All the children shared how they could perform a random act of kindness at home that evening.
During Holy Week we have been trying to do ‘extra’ kind things both at home and in school as we celebrate growth of new life in Christ, in preparation for the feast of Easter.
