World Book Day 2026
Every 5th March 2026, our school suspends the regular timetable and we move around the school to different classrooms with different teachers to focus on a specific author or book.
This year, we focussed on the work of the fantastic 'Michael Rosen' - you may know him from 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' or the brilliant poem 'Chocolate Cake'.
We were also incredibly lucky to have a visit from author Jake Hope, who thrilled both the children and staff with his enthusiasm for books!
Some children struggle with transitions on days that are 'not normal', so we planned seperate transitions for them to access things to help settle throughout the day. It was a huge success!
