St Mary Magdalen’s PTFA are a small but friendly bunch of parents whose primary aim is to raise extra funds for school to enhance the learning environment and provide extras that make children’s school days memorable .
We hold informal meetings 2-3 times a term to plan fund raising events. Throughout the year our main events are discos, a Magical Christmas Evening, a Summer Fair and a sponsored Rise and Shine Jog. We do many other things too to raise much needed funds.
We help with refreshments at school events like school productions and coffee mornings. This year for the first time we will be having Tears and Tissues Refreshments for new parents on their child’s first day at school. We hope that this will be a good opportunity to meet other parents.
We have raised thousands of pounds for school over the years. In the last couple of years this money has been used to buy a new music system for the hall, hundreds of library books and sports kit. The money has been used to subsidise trips for all children and to pay for theatre groups and the Life Education bus to visit school.
There is no obligation to attend every meeting or to help out at any event. You can go on the PTFA emailing list so that you are kept abreast of what is going on and you can offer to help when you can. However we would love you to join us and hear your fresh ideas.
If you are interested in joining us or would just like to go on the PTFA mailing list please fill in the slip below. I will contact you personally and let you know when the first meeting is.
