The children have had a fantastic Roman Day experience today.
We have looked at the Roman army and the development of their Empire. The children were able to try on the different Roman clothing and look at the artefacts. The Roman artefacts illustrated things from everyday life including washing, cooking and praying to gladiators, money and markets.
The children were able to feel the different artefacts and had lots of discussions within their groups.
They tried on different helmets and played some traditional Roman games including knuckle bones and tabla lusoria.
We even managed to enjoy a picnic lunch in the garden area at lunchtime.
