For Remembrance Day Year 1 learnt there are different coloured poppies that people can wear and we learnt what they mean.
We then painted our own red poppies using potato stamping and cotton wool balls. They look amazing! We looked at some photographs of soldiers from Penwortham who died in the wars as well as some photographs of Preston during the war years. To finish off we used our investigative skills to look at a source of soldiers in a trench and ask questions that would tell us more about the photograph.
