We have received our ashes today.
Mrs Gallagher came into our class and distributed the ashes to the children. They were able to explain that Ash Wednesday marks the start of Lent and during this time we are encouraged to pray, think about how we can help others and perhaps give something up. The children have all made a Lenten promise this morning.
